Overview:
The Construction Site Superintendent oversees the construction activities that occur on the worksite. He or she will plan, oversee, and implement construction efforts at work sites and report to the construction project manager.
The Construction Site Superintendent has broad responsibilities, from managing staff and overseeing projects, to maintaining safety protocols and implementing site procedures. Our ideal candidate is experienced, responsible, has a positive disposition, and team-focused.
Position Qualifications – Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university, or relevant work experience.
- Seven years’ experience as a site Superintendent or in a similar position in construction management is desired.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Experience with RedTeam® software is preferred.
- Experience with Xactimate is preferred.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets

Principle Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with external and internal contractors and suppliers for various construction activities
- Assist Project Manager with needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Assist the Project Manager plan the construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Implement all procedures according to required policies and procedures to increase efficiency of all projects and maintain integrity of all activities.
- Develop and assess all project plans and perform risk assessment on all projects and identify and design resolutions for all issues and recommend cost effective methods for same and provide status reports to all project managers.
- Relay equipment and material needs and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Relay schedule for all projects and maintain track for all daily manpower and budgets.
- Relay schedule and document daily startup meetings with external and internal contractors, on site. Identify, resolve, communicate progress/conflict.
- Oversee contractor everyday activities, ensuring safety in all projects, and preparing and maintain detailed daily reports.
- Evaluate and gather all manpower requirements for projects and coordinate with various construction resources for all projects
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Coordinate with various teams and participate in all claim resolutions meetings and evaluate work plans for all contractors and ensure completion of all tasks with help of all Superintendents.

This position will require short- and long-term travel. Candidates must be willing to travel or relocate for extended periods of time on a project specific basis.
